Some Awardees selected by Industry Partners
This year, four Fellows and five Employer Awardees are selected by trade associations and professional bodies. These organisations play a key role in the SkillsFuture movement, by galvanising companies and individuals to take collective action to upskill themselves. Thus, they were invited to identify exceptional candidates and employers who champion the SkillsFuture movement in their respective sectors or networks. The list of organisations who made the selections this year is as follows:
- Association of Small and Medium Enterprises
- Institute for Human Resource Professionals
- SGTech
- Singapore Business Federation
- Singapore Computer Society
- The Institution of Engineers, Singapore
The SkillsFuture Fellowships and SkillsFuture Employer Awards are jointly conceptualised and evaluated by tripartite partners, which include representatives from the industry, the National Trades Union Congress, SSG and Workforce Singapore. Since its inception in 2016, 168 individuals and 180 employers have been recognised for their commitment to skills development.
