SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance

What is it?

The SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance is a scheme under the SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme which provides greater support for mid-career Singaporeans aged 40 and above to pursue a substantive skills reboot and stay relevant in a changing economy.

Choosing between full-time or part-time training is a big decision for many mid-career individuals as it requires personal and financial commitment. To help with this, the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance is designed to support both full-time and part-time training

The Full-Time, Long-Form Training Allowance provides individuals with a monthly training allowance to partially address the loss of income as they take time off from work to pursue full-time, long-form training. View the list of eligible courses on MySkillsFuture.
The Part-Time, Long-Form Training Allowance provides individuals with a fixed monthly allowance to offset incidental training expenses as they pursue part-time, long-form training. The full course list will be available in early 2026.

When will the scheme start?	Applications start from 10 March 2025 Applies to eligible training from 1 April 2025, including courses that have commenced	Early 2026
How many months of training allowance is an individual eligible for?	Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above will be eligible for a maximum of 24 months of the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance regardless of whether the training is part-time or full-time
How much training allowance is an individual eligible for?	50% of one’s average income over the latest-available 12 months, with a minimum allowance of $300 and maximum allowance of $3,000 per month Individuals with income in the latest-available 12-months will qualify for the Training Allowance	Flat rate of $300 per month
What are the courses eligible for training allowance?	The full-time, long form training courses are: Full-time SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes (SCTP) Full-time Full Qualifications up to the undergraduate degree-level offered by the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) Full-time MOE-subsidised Full Qualifications up to the undergraduate degree-level offered by the University of the Arts Singapore and Arts Institutions	The part-time, long form training courses are: Part-time SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) Part-time Full Qualifications up to the undergraduate degree-level offered by the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and micro-credentials that can be stacked to these Full Qualifications
