SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) has taken enforcement action against about 4,400 individuals who submitted false SkillsFuture Credit claims. In end January this year, SSG discovered that about 4,400 individuals have submitted false claims, effectively encashing their SkillsFuture Credit without attending any courses. The vast majority – over two-thirds of the claims - were submitted towards the end of Jan 2017, and were flagged out by the data analytics system.

More than 126,000 Singaporeans have used the SkillsFuture Credit to up-skill or re-skill themselves by end December 2016, in the first year of this scheme. 34% of them have tapped on their SkillsFuture Credit more than once. The number of training courses eligible for the SkillsFuture Credit has also increased steadily from more than 10,000 in January 2016 to over 18,000 by December 2016.
