New Programme Aims To Train 300 Smart Estates Talent
SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), with support from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), launched a new programme today, to train 300 Singaporeans to support the development of the Smart Estates ecosystem in Singapore. Known as the Smart Estates Talent Development Programme (SETDP), the initiative was announced by Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower, Ms Low Yen Ling.

Skills Framework For Workplace Safety And Health (WSH)
The Skills Framework for WSH is jointly developed by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC) together with employers, industry associations, education and training providers and the union. Examples of partners include the Singapore Institution of Safety Officers, Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd, Singapore University of Social Sciences and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. It provides information on the sector, career pathways, occupations/job roles, skills and competencies, and training programmes.

Appointment of New Chief Executive for SkillsFuture Singapore
Mr Ong Tze-Ch’in will be appointed Chief Executive of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) with effect from 1 Dec 2019. Mr Ong will concurrently be appointed Deputy Secretary (SkillsFuture) of the Ministry of Education (MOE). He will succeed Mr Ng Cher Pong, who will assume the role as Chief Executive of the National Library Board on the same date.

SkillsFuture Singapore And IBM Partner For New Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training Programmes
SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) has partnered IBM Singapore to launch a suite of programmes in the emerging area of Artificial Intelligence (AI). These programmes will enable Singaporeans to learn and apply AI in areas such as Human Resource, Supply Chain Management and Media. SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace will also be enhanced to include AI content produced by IBM. These initiatives were launched by the Minister for Education, Mr Ong Ye Kung, today, in conjunction with the 2nd anniversary of SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace.

IBF Unveils Skills Framework For Financial Services That Charts Skills Needed For Finance Professionals And Financial Institutions To Stay Ahead
The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) today unveiled the Skills Framework for Financial Services which sets out progression pathways and skills required for a career in the industry. The framework, jointly developed by IBF, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Workforce Singapore (WSG), will help individuals make informed decisions for career development and skills upgrading.
