What is it?

  • OpenCerts

OpenCerts is a platform developed by the Government Technology Agency (GovTech). It is used to issue tamper-proof digital certificates and verify the authenticity of the certificates using blockchain technology. SkillsFuture Singapore uses OpenCerts certificates to issue the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Statements of Attainment (SOA) and Qualifications.

Only OpenCerts will continue to be generated for new WSQ SOAs or Full Qualifications as the only digital certificate for WSQ trainees from 1 July 2024 onwards. WSQ trainees can visit MySkillsFuture portal to view or download their digital certificates.

  • E-Certificates

The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) e-Certs are electronic certificates issued to individuals starting 1 November 2014 to WSQ trainees who have attained WSQ Qualification and/or Statements of Attainment (SOA) awarded by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Learners who attain WSQ SOA and Qualifications will no longer be issued e-Certs if the SOA assessment date or Qualifications attainment date is on or later than 1 Jul 2024.
